Re Service to RQZ-322
Thank you, for your letter reminding me about my 90,000 service, but I have had it done at Hunt & Lobb in Castlemaine.
The reason that I didn’t choose your company are many.
1/ After my last service that was performed by your company, I rang to find out why the labor cost was so high, for an “A” class service. The service department could not give me an answer, which I thought at the time was rather strange, so I rang back a week later to see if they had figured out the reason, and I was told that the gas converter had to be removed and cleaned, which I accepted, but after I hung up the phone I checked under the bonnet, and found that there was as much dirt and grime on the converter, as the rest of the engine bay.
After telling this to a mechanic friend, he confirmed, in his opinion, my suspicion that it had not been removed at all.
I feel that the answer that your staff gave me was a cover up for the high labor cost. But I could not prove anything, three weeks after the service was done.
2/ David xxxxx also told me when I got the car that it being an ex. Ford executive car, that it would have been straight, and not have been in any accidents, but quite a few things that I have noticed proves otherwise.
These being overspray on bonnet and guard, paint on headlight and the need for a camber kit to be fitted to one side of the vehicle.
I being a reasonably honest person, like to think that I’m dealing with honest people also, not people that lie and try to rip me off.
3/ Also on two of your service invoices, they had included “ Fuel Additive “, which cannot be added to a dedicated gas car.
So if it means loosing the the Mechanical Protection Plan, so be it
Yours truly,
Rob Elliott
