mad Bloody Holden

I've seen the error of my ways. 2 months ago I was shopping for a replacement to my Triton. I wanted a dual cab, diesel 4wd ute. Now Ford have dropped the ball here a bit, the courier (ie Mazda Bravo) is crap so after test driving everything I ordered a new Rodeo. Now, 2 months and 10,000 km on and problems already. It's making bugger all boost and driving like a slug and there is oil all along the pipe between the turbo and intake. The RACV bloke that Holden roadside assist sent out said it had done a turbo, logical I thought. Took it to Holden this morning and they said the turbo was fine and it was probably tappet adjustment. I mean, it's flat out at 70km/hr, not tappets me thinks. They then said take it away and book it in when they weren't so busy. I refused so it's still there, who knows for how long. I also made them give me a loaner car - an ED falcon can you believe - lol. It's the first holden I have ever owned and will be the last. Oh yeah, the dealer also said there have only been two rodeos do turbos, the RACV guy said he personally had been to see a heap like mine. I'll let you know what they do next.

Re: Bloody Holden

They were ok to drive but are a bit small, a bit ugly and just feel a bit flexible, I run some pretty dodgy roads.

Re: Bloody Holden

?? We have a number of Ford Courier turbo diesels here at work, and I've found them to be very good.
The seats aren't the best, but as far as drivabilty is concerned, they are great.
The turbo diesel donk is nice and smooth, and pulls well when the turbo is in its stride.
The usual Courier traits do still exist, but apart from a crappy turning circle, they are easily better than most of the other utes in its class.
I have heard good things about the Rodeo, but they do suffer from their own problems. Engine noise, and timing gear drive problems are a couple.

Ed :)

Re: Bloody Holden

The problem lies not with Holden, but more with Isuzu.

Wrong, Holden sell them, Holden put their badge on them, Holden should look after them

Re: Bloody Holden

Not annoyed with either holden or isuzu, just at the dealer who doesn't even want to admit there's a problem. As for the looks, lets just say a TJM steel bar, driving lights and sunraysia rims do a lot for the rodeo!
