mad Bloody Taxi..

Damn, a taxi has just pulled out into the side of the ChapsMobile... The whole side from the A pillar back has some lovely yellow racing stripes. He just pulled out from the side of Gympie Rd at a dropoff point outside Lutwyche Shopping centre straight into the car.

Mrs and Miss Chaps were in the car at the time but they are OK, more shocked and frightened than anything.

Now comes the fun part, hitting up the Taxi Compnay for the Bill. As luck (if there is any to be had from this..) the car was booked in for a Service tomorrow at Metro Ford. I guess i'll run up a quote on repairs too...

Re: Bloody Taxi..

there is a reason taxis have those plastic things on the roof...they are warnings to the rest of us that a man with no brain is approaching in a car.

Re: Bloody Taxi..

Man, there are some odd taxi drivers out there. Glad there were no injuries. But have some sympathy for the humble cabbie, they're not all crazy drivers. In fact most of them are quite good drivers as a result of driving hundreds of thousands of k's per year. Admittedly when they **** up it tends to be a biggun though.

Re: Bloody Taxi..

It's good to know that you or your family wasn't hurt.

As for Taxis, they are the worst drivers on the road. I'm sure that part of the Sydney taxi driver test is to have no command of either the English language or a motor vehicle.

I for one am sick to death of having them stop in clearways suddenly because someone wants a lift, turning in front of you with no indication, having no idea of where they are going and generally breaking every road rule there is.

It's unfortunate that even though they provide an essential service, they do it while endangering everybody around them.

I know it's not every driver but after being constantly annoyed by so many, they all have a bad name for me. I have no hesitation on giving them a mouthfull if they do something silly.

Now after my rant, I'm going to take a Bex and have a good lay down.

Glad to hear that yourself, the Mrs & Miss were all okay. That part of Gympie Road is a nasty spot. So often you see people pulling out of there without looking. Not to mention the people who haven't figured out how to merge - just before the shopping centre!!!!

Where about are you getting the repairs done at? Did you end up getting the money from the Taxi Insurance/Owner/Driver directly, or are you letting your Insurance company take care of it all for you?

Trying to get money out of Taxi Compnies is like drawing blood from stone in my experience...

Glad that your beast will be back to normal in no time.
