I saw something interesting on Friday night in Greensborough/Melbourne, a Blueprint AUIII Forte!! I never knew Blueprint was available on non XR's, let alone non AUIII XR's? How could this be? Hehe, just thought I would share this with everybody, looked pretty nice too, a set of 17's and it would look pretty sweet

Yep you can now order blueprint on any car. My guess is that they stared late during AUIII, as i've seen a couple of AUIII XL utes also in blueprint.

Blueprint was/is an XR-Tickford-FPV only colour.
Nothing a spray job can't do to a Forte.

I seen an acid rush AUIII Forte in wagga about 2 months ago....

I dont think it was a spray job, someone must have some contacts at ford!

I've seen an Acid Rush AUIII Futura getting around the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. Amazing what can be done when new paint colours come on stream..

that reminds me! about 6 months ago i think, i saw what looked to be an acid rush (colour wasnt even really known of then) futura i think. almost had an accident tryin to read the badging on the back!
although it was dark so i might be talking out my arse!

Yeah they would have been preproduction test colours. Ive also seen a heap of AU Series III falcons in Mecury Silver. Holden did the same when they brought out the Monaro, they painted some VX Commodores to see how popular the colours would be, I was unlucky enough to get a Hot House green VX Executive for a few months.

You can't actually order Blueprint in a non - XR / GT model though.
