Blueprint , is it true ?

I hear blueprint might no longer be offered as a paint colour .
Personally , it doesn't make much sense , but hey , stranger things have happened I suppose .
Can anyone in here confirm this ?

Re: Blueprint , is it true ?

Where did you hear this?

Blueprint and similar colours are offered by almost all manufacturers, and considering the popularity of it I don't see why it would be canned.

Personally I think it probably would have been a good thing if it had stayed a "hero" car colour.
ie, Only available on AU T3 and Pursuit, BA GT, GT-P and Pursuit.

The idea being to maintain the exclusivity of the colour and making it one of the things that sets the hero cars apart.

At least it's not available on base XT/Futura, that would be

Re: Blueprint , is it true ?

I heard this from a reliable source within Ford who will remain nameless . As far as when its canned , he doesn't know , but that is what was said .
If true , then why , as I can't see the reason behind it , as it seems a rather popular colour .

Re: Blueprint , is it true ?

I heard about that on the XR6 Turbo forum.

It also says that Blood Orange will get canned for a new metallic orange.

Re: Blueprint , is it true ?

About time that canned that colour. When it came out on the AU3 T3, it was easily the best colour around. But now it is just too popular - it almost seems as if ford only make one colour of XR - Blueprint. The quicker they can it, the quicker we can start seeing some different coloured XRs.

Re: Blueprint , is it true ?

I've heard this but I feel as long as it's still selling well it would be a stupid move so I won't beleive it until I see it from Ford

Re: Blueprint , is it true ?

Of it is true, it would be my thinking that they do it to keep people buying different colours, and keep any one car from being more popular from others.

Doesn't make sense to me .

Re: Blueprint , is it true ?

Blueprint would have to be one of the best 'Ford' blues I have seen since the early ninties. Regardless of its popularity, it will be sad to see it go. I can't imagine any replacement colour being half as vibrant.
