Blueslip info needed?

Hey all,

Just wondering what is involved in getting a blue slip done? how much does it cost? Where can it be done in Sydney (prefer eastern subs if possible)

Thanks

Brendan

Re: Blueslip info needed?

I thought it was about $80 bucks, and they pick the crap out of the car, used to be done at some servo's, but now may only be at the RTA.

I did put something here, but it vanshied, I think

"So long and thanks for all the fish!"

Re: Blueslip info needed?

Blue slip is a pink slip with a identification check. So the RTA office staff don't get gressy looking in the engine bay and such.

$45-$50 last time I checked

Re: Blueslip info needed?

Had a blue slip done last year in rural NSW, total cost was around $70 as the blue slip is only part of the costs. If you have ANYTHING non standard they hit you with another fee just to write down "engineers certificate needed" or to read the certificate. And a second inspection is free if done within (I think it was) 4 days, otherwise full fees again.

Turned out to be a waste as the torana got stolen, smashed and recovered...

Re: Blueslip info needed?

According the RTA site, as of July 2003, blue slips should be $45 or so . . .

Re: Blueslip info needed?

You forgot the design check which is when there are ANY non standard items on the car.... $21 with no engineer cert or $31.80 with one.
