M5's are very nice. I'd be very happy to have one in my garage..

M5's are very nice but they are probably a bit more expensive than your bread and butter 5 series.

I doubt that BMW would release a car if it wasn't upto scratch (Z3 the exception). I think the 5 series would be a very fine car.

Prices-
525 Executive $86,250 upto M5 $196,200

The 5 series the 540 to be exact has been voted best car in the world more than once.

It doesn't hold the title at the moment and is headed for a face lift in the not to distant future

The 5 series is superb. I have spent a bit of time in one (unfortunately as a passenger), it was a 535 with M-Sports kit, the "little" V8. Didn't go real hard, but the grip, chassis, and suspension are the best I have experienced in any road car. They are well kitted out too, A-grade interiors. If I had the bucks, I'd be seriously tempted.. but then again I'd get an M3 before any 5-series :s6:

I take it he want's a BIG car or else if he was looking at BMW he would go straight for the M3. 5-series sport go great but are like nearly 150grand.
