It hasn't arrived yet but when it does I'll post the before and after pics from the digital camera. Gotta find out how to reduce pics down to about 200KB form usually 4MB in ACDSee, any idea's/tips on this one?
They did an article in the Adelaide Advertiser the other day and the bloke from Photoblocker in Perth, an ex-cop, said he sold only 200 cans to S.A., but about 2000 over Australia.
They brought out a new and improved version but this can only does 4 plates and not 6 plates like the old can they sold. Since no-one else on the board has I know bought it I thought I might grab a can.
I'm not so much worried about roadside speed camera's because in Adelaide they are all new car's with government plates and cage barriers in the back(wagons), they're very easy to spot along the road. Obviously as noted in the paper, which is evidenced by the drop in fines, people are looking out for the cars, it's actually making people money by spotting them first whilst driving, after you pass the radar; then you floor it!(Well I do) and sometimes beep the horn to wake up the operator because you know he's only gonna make a stress claim anyway one day... they all do eventually.
But the S.A. gov' is introducing red light flash camera's with speed camera's built in at alot of intersections and as well the anti- tailgating camera's along the Southern Expressway. Next the noise camera's will come(don't have to worry 'bout noise though-quiet car).
If it works, then I don't have to worry about losing unnecessary driving points because that's what has worried me just as much as paying their insidious fine regime. But it did cheese me off that it got a mainstream mention because I bet the 'powers that be' will only try to get it off the market like they did with speed detectors/jammers... the wowsers and blouses!
dont be surprised if it doesnt work at all. test it with your camera. takes HEAPS of pics from every angle and with and with out the flash.
lets just say that it does work...how are you ever gonna know that it really works since youll never get a ticket? maybe its because you werent speeding as you thought you were or maybe they just didnt get you for other reasons?
know what i mean?

I will be following the application of the stuff to the letter, and if it don't work, they give me a refund. And you'll all be the first to know about how it works or not, because if it does, it definately will not be on the market very long.
The government isn't going to give any notice as to when they take it off the market and ban it.

i sprayed our cars plates. missus drove through a camera yesterday, so i will let you know if it really works. there was something on today tonight showing how the police can adjust the picture to display the plate, however, i thought the story was full of holes, so remain unconvinced. i know public servants, and they are essentially lazy. it may be too much trouble to muck around with pictures on the computer when they could be staring out the window instead. at least thats what missus rsgerry is hoping.

Good on you for doing SOMETHING to stop having to pay the stealth tax JONK. In my experience the Photoblocker spray works fine, just as long as there IS a flash. Alot of the fixed cameras dont.
Also, taking a flash with ur camera isnt the same as a raodside speed camera flash. To get a similar flash you have to turn off all the features like red eye and all the other crap, and "stagger" the flash from your camera at max.
Im interested to see how you go with bringing the spray in, some people i know had trouble airfreighting it cause it was considered a dangerous or flamable substance. Good luck with it.
