Broken Into

Well it finally had to happen someone broke into my car. I have an AU2 and a XF ute. Anyway I drive the XF ute to the train station as it is dent world down there and you can guarantee your car will get damaged.

So yesterday I drove down parked in the train station car park (has survailance) and went to uni. I usually reverse the car up against the wall but didn't this day i drove the car nose in against the wall. Come back and the door lock seems hard to get open anyway I get in and the glove box is open. At first I thought dad might of left it open and I didnt notice as he put a fuel card in there so I just closed it. Had a feeling someone might of broken in but who gets in and then locks the door on the way out (car had a crock lock too which was on).

Anyway dad lets me know today it has been broken into since this is like the bomb car everyone drives around but mainly me to the station it has nothing of value in it at all so I dont think anything was taken. They even left the fuel card thought they might of taken that at least.

Now it only happened yesterday the station had cameras which obviously nobody watches but if I report it to the police will they still have fottage or does it not get taped? The door lock is fairly f**ked and needs to be fixed so im preety pissed off somone broke in but it would of been easy.

Is there any sort of good protection we can get for the ute or is it destined to keep been broken into?

Once you have been broken into it gets you thinking so should I do anything to secure my AU if so what?

Sorry for the long post but I hate these bastards not long ago they broke into my brothers laser (he works at ford) in their carpark and stole his cd player. DAM f**KERS !

Re: Broken Into

thats no good at all. They should keep the tapes from the surveillence, so check it out...

Then, when you find the bastard,

Thats about all the bad ones I can find! But just keep it simple, put his balls in the door, close - open - repeat...

Re: Broken Into

Sorry to hear mate, its lucky there was nothing for them to steal.

What the hell were they thinking, breaking into a car with nothing to steal and survalence cameras around?

I would buy a descent set of deadlocks and watch them have fun with them.

Chris

No good to hear mate,

Yeah definitely get the tapes from the surveillence camera's. No point putting them up if they don't use them.

Re: Broken Into

Ok reported it to the police they said they would check out the tapes but the theives usually know which parts aint under survaliance. They said it will preety much just go into statistics as nothing was stolen.

Anyway more bad news I got a big dent in the fender of the AU last night nooo!!!! Gonna have to get a job these holidays and get an alarm for the AU for sure. The dent in the fender is in sort of a line dunno how i got it at all only drove to a freinds house and back and i got a huge dent. There is no scratch just a big asss dent.

Im think ill have to get it sucked out which will cost me a fair bit :(

I just cant beleive people who break into cars they have nothing to aim for in life other then just taken stuff from people who are trying to do something!
you go to uni to learn and while your gone you get robbed, I hate theifs!

Oh at least they had the decentcy to lock the door to deter other theifs lol!

Even in the AU I leave nothing at least I lost nothing but still :(

Re: Broken Into

Most cost-effective solution is to put those solex locks in and get rid of the lock nubs(those things you press and pull on). Wire in an ignition cutoff while youre at it.

Re: Broken Into

It depends on how long they keep the tapes. Where I work we only keep them for a month, then tape over them.
