I was looking over at another forum www.fordlaser.com & someone is trying to use the BSR name for there own club Back Street Racers. I trust the BSR legal department will be on to this shortly.
Ok I've copied & pasted the post. It's some stupid rice boy idea a Satria driver has come up with & yes most the people on there agree it's a moronic idea. I was particularly offended there that he wanted use the legendary BRS name on his stupidly dangerous idea.

RACING, NEW GENERATION RACING
This takes skill and a lot of balls to race, B.S.R. stands for "Back Street Racers" The B.S.R's is for none turbo cars, because back streets are stop&go racing and little drifting, no wear and tear on the turbos. This is new generation and secret raciing. You have to know the suburbs VERY well. The pupose is to lose the opponent behind you.
Dodging suburban cars etc, and keeping yourself to the preys limit, to not lose him can turn into the situation of the preditor becomeing the prey in an instant by the person at the front spinning out or just being too slow, there are safety rules, If the person behind you its going to over take and is faster that u on a suburban straight you have to let him pass, thats a must. You can also make rally points, as capture the flag and or who gets there first.

-Cat & Mouse Racing=as is -
-Fox Hunting.
-Island Motoring/racing,= each suburb represents an Island
p.s The cars are usually only light wieght cars but anyone can do it, But my club is none Turbos only, Because it is danerous and less chance you kill your car, if not yourself
The time to race are usually about before sunrise, you can call it a fresh moring start.

These are the idiots that allow the government to get away with all sorts of stupid new road laws. He should be reported. I simply refuse to have anything to do with such stupid road racing.
I must agree with EFFalcon and Casper, it is bloody stupid. The odd highway or main road road fang is OK now and again but to race in suburbia where anyone can walk out and get hit by these morons is crazy. Hopefully they'll get busted sooner rather than later.
As for the BSR trademark being infringed, I'm sure our BSR has nothing to worry about. The people that matter know what it means!
