Officer Kevin Oginski of Arlington, Texas wrecked his Crown Vic and he was tired of getting outrun in the Vic, so he had an idea. He found a private seller of a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 B4C (RPO code for police interceptor) that only used it as a weekend toy, stock LS1 with automatic transmission. He managed to convince his department to buy it and when the conversion to full police pursuit car, the Camaro now weighed 3,800 lbs. Not exactly helpful with stock power... that was to be remedied. He managed to convince his department once more, that he could get free performance parts as long as he advertised for those companies on the cruiser. They agreed and the parts started rolling on in.
