well, not fully but it had crossed my mind.

Going from a 4cyl diesel hilux to my ute has crashed me to earth.

94 in a 60... $565 fine, 4 points and i will no doubt be disqualified for 3 months right?

Oh, and i dont want or need sympathy and im not asking for it, i am stupid and thats that, i just felt the need to say it out loud.

Nice clear road, zero cars and 2 blocks from my house where i know cops hammer it every 2nd weekend.... i just gave it a stab and knocked it to second, it didnt feel that quick but hey, the nice man gave me a ticket to prove it. I was on the brakes and back to 60 before i even saw them wave the flashy sticks.

Bugger bugger bugger, work will no doubt be interesting, i wonder how many tools i can carry on my back.... ooh and how many sand/cement bags can i carry, i will let you know, until then -take it easy all. Im going to have a drink and kick myslf :(

Hey if ya go to court ya can usually get ya license back an a couple of points if ya need it for work.
Just tell em you'll end up un-employed an on the dole if they take it away from ya an they'll let ya keep it. Works down here in SA anyway.

You apply for a work license...but you can only use it to go to and from work.

Yup, aint that the truth. I got done twice in 2 weeks one street away from my house.

Both times on my way home from work. The first fine hadnt even reached the mail box when i got pinged for the second OWNED!!!

In SA they give you a 'bonus point' and you can drive when ever you want... nearly all my mates are on this.

recently though a mate got caught 140 in an 80 zone, 6 demerit points, $600 odd fine.

Will i lose my license? nothing has been said about that and at the time the cop said it was 4 points and the fine....

If i do though, is it possible to get this work license or probation point or whatever without going to court? The fines are 4 times as large in court :(:(

ps. I know its not her fault, but i slammed the door on my baby when i got home from work today.... then i felt bad so i wiped the dash and seats down to make me feel better :(

What a pain in the @ss!

If you're in Vic, 25km over the speed limit and you lose your license (not sure for how long though).

I got done doing 127km in a 100 zone, thank god for the 3km off!

You can go to court and dispute it though. If you need your car for work and you haven't lost your license before, they'll usually let you use it to get to and from work.
