The Velite is the first American demonstration of GM’s Zeta global vehicle architecture designed by Holden it is the same platform that will be used in the VE commodore.
some interesting points in the car is the 300kw twin turbo 3.6L HFV6, could this be an engine holden/hsv will use to compete with fords I6 turbo. And the new Hydra-Matic 6-speed automatic which i think is a given for the VE.
Thanks for that corbz. I would be very supprised persoanlly If Holden don't use a twin-turbo V6 sometime along the track. It wont happen straight away, but I predict beofre the decades out that Holden will have a "Commodore S Twin-Turbo" and a HSV of some kind with a boosted TT V6 to take on the XR6 Turbo and the F6 Typhoon.

well its an ugly POS
but the specs certainly sound interesting, i doubt holden would come out all guns firing with a 300kw TT V6 in a commodore, interesting to see the torque figures are not at all impressive compared to what the I6T is already producing..
just a matter of time before we see what we're up against i spose :)

For F#$K sake, I'd rather look at that than any boring bloody Falcon. There is nothing wrong with it - it looks fresh and more importantly it doesn't look like a ****ing box.
Note: FPV GT and XR6 are exempt from the above comments.

Neither does a Mazda 121 bubble, and I recall it winning any style awards.
While the AU did come under critical acclaim, some people, including myself like it. I also think this buick looks like a piece of crap but you cant get angry at people for having an opinion.

The torque figures are infact impressive when you compare them with A GTS 300. At the same power the TT V6 is making 30nm more torque.

impressive figures. Although I am not to keen on the styling (sorry The Stylist but my opinion is this looks SH!T). this will definetly be the future of holden. Hopefully Ford are well on the ball. Jeez the domestic market is certainly hotting up :)
