Build us a Mach I - Ford Forums

I'd love to see Ford bring back the Mach I for 2003/04. Most everyone that likes a Mustang has the '69 Mach I on their lists of favorites. Place it in between the GT and Cobra in both performance and price. It appears the "Bullitt" is a hit, something along this line would be great for the Mach I. A little more horsepower but quite a bit more torque, with a straight axle. Allow for power windows and luxury items as an option, but keep it simple and basic. If Ford would just find a way to put the 5.4L in the Mustang that would be perfect, or at least something with this kind of torque.

I heard rumours on a couple of other boards that the Mach I might be
coming back, guess we can only hope :)

I'd like to see a high performance stripped down base model, instead
of being forced to purchase a top of the line model with many high $$
options that some of us might now want or need..

That would Rock. The Mach1 had to be my favorite style Mustang of all time !

Ford has the Mach 3 Mustang concept car, it's been around for a few years.
