Looks like I've been done by the combined speed/red light camera on Victoria Parade. A few days ago on my way home from work around 9.30pm I was driving through the intersection, green light and FLASH.... what was that..... glance down at my speedo and just under 80 (speed limit 60) "oh fafuxsakes" I think to myself. I wasn't looking at the speedo and should have been, I was just cruising comfortably.

For some reason it didn't occur to me that the speed program of those cameras is on all the time and not just when the lights cycle amber then red. My passenger never realised that either. Guess I can expect a demand with menace from Civic Compliance Victoria in the mail next week.

Re: Busted!!!

Camara's were never turned off. They did review and test some 'suspect' camara's.

The ones that are built into the intersection work no matter what the colour is.

Re: Busted!!!

smash the camera, i would assume it stores the files internally rather than transmits a signal, but i could be wrong

Re: Busted!!!

what we need is someone like the washington sniper - except they don't shoot at any people, they just take out cash cameras from a distance

Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.
