sorry if this is the wrong forum for this kind of thing, but i'm still not sure what forum u can ask for non car related help in...anyway, here goes

my computer case has a lock on it. it locks the 2 front panels, 1 covers the CD ROMS etc, and the second (behind the 1st) covers the more insides, fans etc of the case...

i locked it up the other day to stop my little brother playing with it. when i got home, and tried to unlock it, the key WILL NOT TURN. i have tried everything, if i go any further, i know ill snap the key (after having already bent it but i got it straightened again)

it cant be some kind of super lock, it'd only be a cheapy...but it WILL NOT turn to unlock. it's brand new so its not rusted or anything like that, but i sprayed some WD 40 in just hoping that would help...still no go

just wanna ask if anyone has any suggestions as to what i can do to open it.
with the doors locked, i can't turn off my PC ( i can, but only from the power supply, and then wont be able to turn it back on. i cant access my CD ROMs etc either)

Was the key working at all to start with, he probably put super glue in the lock

what a predicament!! couldnt you take it to a locksmith or someone clued up about keys/locks and they could pick it, by looking at the key you have for it? go ask around at some places i reckon

yeah i wanted that as like the last resort, coz i think locksmiths can be pricey, like the ones that come to your house....its a prety heavy case...16kg empty, which isnt heavy, but when the object is as big as this, its not the most enjoyable thing to carry
