I'm thinking of buying a EB Fairmont 5.0L Auto.

Is there any problems with this model apart from your normal wear & tear?

I'm guessing around the $7000 mark is a reasonable price for a low km one?

Anything you whish to add feel free.

Try and get a Series II. Diffs can be noisy and some might have a p/s shudder.

i have a eb11 ghia 5.0ltr the only things i have had wrong with it was the auto had to replace it and the k frame bolts on the front end stretch but they are easy to raplace and cheap apart from that great car

EB2 Fairmont Ghia 5litre Wagon here, has purred like a kitten for the 65,000k's ive owned it (Avg. 1000k's per week).
Only problems ive had were fan clutch & power window switch.
It gets serviced every 5000k's and gearbox every year.
Oh and i paid $10,500 and got 3yrs Warranty.

Except for auto I can't think of anything thats troublesome that wouldn't happen to a newer model.

Thanks guys. Good to know there is no major problems with them.

Hopefully, I'll have a look at a couple over the weekend.

Did they ever come out with manual box?
