Buying House stuff - who do you recommend

Hey all If you read my post in here a while ago you'd know I just recently purchaced a house.
Now I've got $12500 of my cash to go spend on furniture.

Where did you buy the major goods from and who would you recommend?

Don't know if you have them in SA, but Fantastic Furniture has some reasonable stuff for good prices, perfect for us new home owners with ***** all cash!

Fantastic furniture is usually good for a deal but for anything electric use the Good Guys and get the cash discount. I bought a TV, fridge, microwave and video all at once and probably saved over $500 off the sticker price. Well worth it.

Cheers,

... and I ENTIRELY missed that post!!!!

Ok for appliances, definitely like the other guys are suggesting - The Good Guys. They are great for just about everything, and I would also recommend JB Hifi for electronic gear.

carazy a bit of advice - never pay the sticker price always haggle for a bargain ask them for their best price and start from there, oh yeah dont pay for delivery either I have done this on many occasions and have saved a lot on appliances, as Sparkles said JB Hi Fi is a great place to get a bargain they seel sooo much stuff they dont mind giving you great deals

cool thanks for the opinions guys.
I was thinking the good guys as they're price guarentee was pretty damn good.
The other thing I was also going to check out was scratch and dent sales.
But I'm only gonna buy there if I get manufatures warrenty.
