Bye all

Thanks for all your help and advice

I have decided to buy a Nissan GTS-T Skyline manual. The way I figure it, I can spend a third of my budget on Nissan Mods and it will go faster than the XR8 would of had I spent my whole budget on it.

my basic theory

some cars (XR8s) will be faster than mine
some cars will not

Ive just spent about a fifth on my new toy, than what you would pay for a nissan, and it will go MUCH MUCH MUCH more harder than the Nissan.

Just remember, just because it goes faster, harder, better, doesnt mean that you will be happier with it.

Also, check the Insurance for the Nissan. If your happy paying 1/4 to 1/2 of the purchase price for insurance, then the Nissans are a terrific Buy !!!!!

As I said, my new Suzuki goes Much Much Much harder than my Fairmont Ghia, but I would much Prefer to own, Drive, live with the Ghia than the Suzuki an a day to day basis.

good luck with it mate! at least you're buying a skyline and not a friggin holden. i don't think you'll have much fun with insurance though, and make sure you have good immobiliser/tracking system.

If you want some details of the Suzuki

1991 GSX-R 750
Carbon Fibre Fairings, (Recently resprayed)
Staintune Carbon Fibre Exhuast,
Carbon Fibre Indicator Housings, and Carbon Fibre Wheel Guards
K&N Filter
Rejetted Carbs
New Shocks with adjustable Dampening and Preload
Standard Power around 80KW (Not sure what the Race tuned engine will develop)
Standard weight (No Carbon fibre, standard plastic bits) - 208Kg
6 speed Sequential Manual
4 Cyl, 4 Carb, withn 13,000 RPM.

Bike is ready to race, but has been converted so it is Street registered !
Im hoping that it will be getting close to 2Kgs per Kilowatt

So sure, If u Wanna line them up at the track, we will see how the Nissan goes up against soemthing that was designed from scratch to be raced !
