went to calder tonight with George (FPVWPN) and it was a good turnout. Brendan Mock was there with his red EB...the bloody thing ran a 13.61. All the other runs were consistant 13.7's. Pretty damn good. It wasted a 200sx with front mount cooler etc on the last run. Not exactly street tyres though....more like bogan tyres They looked like about 285's and MT radials or something...they stuck out past the guards anyway but you could still use them on the street I guess they just looked a bit boganish hehe. Got some videos of 3 of his runs, pity the tight asses at Calder Park can't fkn pull their finger out and fix the fkn time screens.......jesus, you pay $17 bux you expect to be able to see what times each car runs FFS! It's like trying to decipher code each time the times come up.
Fvck, 13.61!!!! That's now the quickest street registered NA I6 that i've heard of!! Was he on street tyres?? We were discussing the cost of his setup in another thread and it'd cost about $11,000 for that package to be set up on an EB. But the bragging rights to having an NA i6 that quick could justify alot of the cost :) Not to mention it'd look fairly stock under the bonnet...
Hmmm, makes me wanna sell the SC kit and build up a monster NA motor of my own to challenge him
13.61, now were talking. If the tyres have a DOT rating then they are sufficent for a street legal pass. Bloody good work, now, get those videos encoded and hosted.

Excellent result again.
Rmyers - Go back and have a look at that thread, you'll clearly see that I pointed out it could be done for significantly less money than the figures which were thrown around in that thread.
Rick.

I also ran there last night 14.9 with problems yet again! and bumped in to Brendan & co got to check the car out and watch it run ,its tyres were DOT rated MT's, had suspension changes ,softer rear and raised to standard height and a clutch
thing is a weapon ,idles smooth ,is street legal no gimmicks ,consistant 13.7s all night getting the 13.6 on the final run ,and spot on 100mph
Rmyers I dont think our S/c setups can compete! makes me wanna sell mine too!
how awsome was that TT vy 1 tonner that ran in the nines!!!!
Hey swoopa sounds like your having trouble with your supercharger setup, whats the prob, you should be atleast running a low 14, go speak to tim at electronic automotive in epping he is a gun. if you set up your ford correct, this setup,4.0L good engine, capa 9psi centrifugal, unichip, 2.5inch or 3inch mandrel, auto with electronic shift kit, 3.9lsd, or manual 3.7, water injection or cooler, 180-200rwkw, should run a 12.99-13.6@100-105mph, but the can be a pain to get right, so good luck.
