Calling All Dirt Demons - Mountain Biking Comes to FF!
EF Falcon Guy and myself have decided it is about time we got to finally do some mountain biking. The initial plan is to do the Oaks up in the lower Blue Mountains Sunday 28th October. This can be followed by a couple of ales at Glenbrook and a big feed.
Please be gentle if you come along as lugging my hulk of a bike up hills and the additional spare tyre around my waist have slowed me down from the glory days.
Whaddya reckon? Who's up for it?

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
You are indeed inhaling too many sparkles which have caused metallic short cicuiting of your brain.
Not BMX - Mountain Bikes. The ones with the BIG wheels and the gears!

Yeap i'm in on it, Hmmmm i'd better start taking the bike for a spin and use all 21 gears to see if i can beat my personal best top speed down the Great Western Hwy at 76km/h in a 60km zone.
Yeah it would be good if we can get a group of riding, the Oaks track in Woodford is madness i live like 6-7km from there so i'll ride to the track.

I like the bit on the oaks where you cane it down the road into the causeway - the hiss of steam coming off the front disc is an entertaining phenomenon!

I know why. In my case (the Gary Fisher anyhow) the springs front and rear wouldn't have enough preload available!

Not sure about your pace, but since i haven't ridden in yonks if we can do the track gate to gate in say 65mins it should be an ok pace.

EF GUY:
Don't you have suspension forks? I can't remember the last time I saw a bike without suspension forks. Surely you're not full stiffy? :o
