Yeah stuffed runs by a mag again. Going on the TE figure being Ford numbers, I'm hoping that when Motor do get a chance, it'll run quicker.

I do not think it is really one driving better than the other, I think it is more to do with different testing proceedures between the 2 magazines.

That or Wheels forgot to remove the camera equipment from the car :s3 :oo1:

Motor are known to show less sympathy when they test cars. They don't have a passenger when testing either. Motor did say that the TE etc should be capable of 5.9 0-100 and 13.9sec for the 1/4.

To me Wheels magazine results are probably more "real world" figures as not all of us are unsympathetic to our cars.

Going back over previous issues of both Motor and Wheels it seems that Motor have usually got better times than wheels, however like DK said it could be to do with different testing proceedures.

I thought Wheels got 6 flat and 14 flat for the T3 a couple of issues ago.

Motor in the current issue did times but they were in the wet.

This is a good question, something that I have been pondering for quite a while.

For example Motor: Holden Astra SRI 0 - 100 in 7.58 in a 2.2L 108kw 4cyl.

This is quicker than their posted time for both HP and VCT XR6s!

For the same car Wheels: 9.6 secs

After leaving many behind at the lights, I think that I'd go with Wheels on that one!

7.58 seems like crap to me for an Astra, thats faster than the turbo Corolla.
