Hi guys,

just looking for an idea of whether any of you may be able to help. I've not long finished school, and through keeping in contact with some of my teachers I've found out that one of the kids at my old school has cancer in his eyes, and will be totally blind (apparently the doctors have given him till around the end of next year before his sight will be completely gone).

As a result, the school has decided that theyd like to help in whatever way they can, and one of the suggested ways has been to get a few nice cars together, and have a day where we do some 400m times, just generally show off the cars and take this poor guy for a few runs down. We're looking at using the Wagga Wagga airport runway for a few hours, as this has plenty of room, no other traffic (obviously we'll be making sure there's no landings scheduled!), and is a good venue for this kind of thing.

So basically what I'm after is a bit of an indication as to who among you (or anyone on FF for that matter) may be interested in coming down to Wagga Wagga sometime April-May next year (as yet the date is not confirmed, but I'll have more details soon). We will provide free accomodation at a motel here for any drivers who may be interested in coming down, so if you're interested and you've got a nice car, I'd like to hear from you!

Guys, this isn't a hoax - I'm sorry for the sketchy details, but this is all pretty new (I only found out about 1 week ago), so I havent had a chance to really organise anything yet. I'll keep a regular eye on this thread so I can keep you all updated with any new information or plans that come to hand, as well as answer any questions you might have about it.

great, would be awesome to see the machine ive read about in action!

I'm pretty sure it won't be around easter cos that's just too busy, as it stands I'd assume they'd be looking at doing it maybe one Friday, cos that way the school can get the kids there to watch etc etc.

If nothing else, if the minginator turns up, half of FF wil also turn up to see it in action

I can't make guarantees at this early stage, but keep up the info and I ( and possibly some mates with nice *cough* rice *cough* cars ) might be able to make it down.

Wagga wagga..how far is that from melbourne? Yes im to lazy to look.

Wagga Wagga would be about a 3-4 hr drive from Syd and Melb just depending on how you drive, if you stop etc. We'll be able to set you all up with accomodation if need be.
