Hi everyone, I have just dusted off my ol racing go-kart and I am keen as to take it out for a spin on a regular basis, however I don't have too many people to run of the tracks except for maybe Russellw who is keen to buy one and try to run me off the track (Greg Murphy style). If anyone is keen on looking into this cheap hobby and would like to testdrive one prior to considering getting into it, either reply to this thread or send me a PM. Go-karting = awesome fun...
Cheers everyone

go karting is the best fun you can have sitting down ;-)
when i go you pay for like 20mins worth and you think it wont be enough..but i tell ya im usually pretty tired after it.
I dont want to bag anyone out...but ive been to a few tracks in my time but the one in geelong near the Caltex servo is a shocker. I dont mind bumps but this thing has pot-holes all over the first corner, and that the part where your going the fastest.
all in all its just ace!!

I'de buy another one gadget, but i've just sold mine to purchase a particular vehicle.
Besides, i'll just use yours, i cut 2 secs off your lap time around todd rd in the rotax anyway!
For anyone considering buying one, do it. Very good fun, not just the driving, but the challenge of setting up the kart. Tyres, toe settings, chassis, seats, engine, track width, and exhaust settings all contribute to putting down fast times. Very exhilerating if you've got a decent 2-stroke and a good track
