CAPA 5.4lt V8 Territory

Im not sure if this it a repost, but this thing is awsome, and look sexy aswell.

This is from the CAPA website.

The CAPA 'Terror-tory' made its debut with it's supercharged, 5.4 Litre V8 engine producing 400kW and with its new low ride look, it was really something to see. We were disappointed that we ran out of time, with the 22 inch wheels and big brakes still to come. Tony said it was a strange thing to drive, performing and handling like an XR8, but in a 4WD spacious cabin sitting a lounge chair. It took a bit of getting used to, and summed up to be a great driving experience. To our knowledge this is the only V8 powered Territory in existence.
So when is Ford going to pull their finger out?

It was at the Holden Vs Ford day in Sydney.

The Terror-tory decal is hilarious.

I think Ford have done the right thing going for a 6 over an 8 like the Adventra. I hear there's also talk of an FPV Territory model too.

hmm yeah I think it was in the terry part :/ All good though.

I still dont understand why ford would spend so many $$ developing the terry and then leave the V8 out. You would think they would learn not to rush things...

Maybe in the RWD model, but not in an AWD.

i think they didnt have any $$$ left to shoehorn the 8 in there ....this shows it wouldve been a very nice vehicle...

Still surely if you spend (I cant remember exactly) around $500M to develop a vechile from scratch you could get another $XXXM to make sure it then appeals to a much wider audience. I would think there would be alot of people out there that wont buy it because its a 6.

Mind you its the best 6 in AUS, bar maybe BMW, but an 8 would of opened a much larger market. There would be alot of people out there who own XR8/GT's etc that would happily have a terry 8 for the wife, just so they can enjoy driving it aswell.

Re: CAPA 5.4lt V8 Territory

I think the target market for the territory was pretty family man; more to be a comfy wagon than a sports utility. This is probably where holden went wrong, the advenra looks and is pretty extreme, with the V8, big plastic flares and big alloys.

That CAPAthing will look a bit gangsta-rappa lo-rider with the 22" rims on it can't wait!
