Howdy people,

Has anyone out there sourced any really good deals on car insurance lately. If so, where?
The best I can get on the TE-50 at present is $1906.94

AAMI will do $1341.00 if I install a "quicktrack" satellite tracker, and won't insure it otherwise.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

G'day Jim. From my investigations, I found Suncorp to have the cheapest premiums. I'm not sure how good they are with claims etc., but I know that everyone says steer clear of AAMI for that very reason - like getting blood out of stone. You can try their website for an online premium quote :

Hmmm.. I cant get insurance from most places (the age thing), but I can get insurance from Just Car Insurance, NRMA and Suncorp.
All of these required me to get a quick track fitted before they would insure me.

From memory Suncorp was the most expensive (about $5000), NRMA was about $3200 and Just Car Insturance was about $3000.
I ended up going with NRMA cos I got a multi policy discount which bought it down to $2900.

suncorp isnt insuring with post codes from 2000 to 2900
basically no one in sydney at the moment.
