car model name question

why don't cars have there actual model name badged ?
eg: ea, ef, ba etc

You should find the model series on the build plate. As for external badges, I suppose they are only there to differentiate the models of a given time (eg GL, Fairmont etc) and there is no marketing benefit to giving them model series badges.
