Car registrations fall
From The Daily Telegraph
NEW vehicle registrations slipped in December but were down more than 10 per cent for the year, new figures show. Allowing for seasonal variations, new motor vehicle registrations dipped 2.2 per cent to 65,693, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said.
The fall was in line with experts' forecasts.
Passenger vehicles registrations slipped two per cent to 54,649 while registrations for all other vehicles fell 3.2 per cent, the ABS said.
Annually, new registrations were 10.9 per cent lower than they were 12 months earlier.
Holden was the biggest selling make in December (11,013), followed by Toyota (10,420), Ford (7,588), Mitsubishi (4,951) and Hyundai (4,020), the ABS said.
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen. It said, 'Parking Fine.'So that was nice.
