March sales alone were up 26 per cent on February. Ford led the way in March with sales of 934 cars and 385 commercials for 18.4 per cent of the market. Toyota was next with 797 cars and 415 commercials for 17.0 per cent followed by Holden with 870 cars and 307 commercials for 16.5 per cent.

Probably thanks to the Mondeo though.

had the fortune to go to NZ aroung july last year. truly lovely country. also was there about the same time the mondeo was released. got a brochure from the dealer in christchurch (sorry for lying to you...i dont live there and am not buying a car ).

what a lovely car! and you can option factory 18 inch wheels...very nice wheels at that.

was also amazed at the number of jap imports. loads of them and the yards just about give them away.

fell in love with the last of the rover mini coopers. looked lovely in red with chrome everything else. pity it was too painful to get it to perth.

also saw a xr ute (xg / xh????) in a yard with a canopy that was much more streamlined than the canopies we get in oz (at least in perth). anyone know about these cos they are very nice and actually look like they were designed for a falcon, not a hilux.
