Personally I don't like the whole idea on making a car to look like something its not. If you want your car to look like a GT, go ahead and buy a GT!
I dont mean to offend anyone by saying this, but it just anger's me when I see a BA XT/XR6/XR6T looking like a GT with the stupid carbon fibre kit and then taking off the badges!. A big waste of money.
Thats, my thoughts on the whole matter. Please, tell me your thoughts about it, I dont care if you hammer me for it.

Bad thing about it... its the parents car and they won't let me drive it!
Tiges, i agree on most of your points.
I would never make a Car that is a direct copy/clone of an Upspec car.
But there is nothing wrong with Individualising your car.
It would be a very boring world if all our cars looked the same.

ok im sick to death of this subject too. if i buy a car ill do what i damn well please to it and i dont want to hear people whinging about it either. lets say that i want a GT but hey i dont have that sort of money, so what am i just sposed to miss out and drive an XT that looks like an XT? the same goes for any car. its the owners choice if they want to put a kit on it or make it rice. some dont like it and some do. making yet another thread about this subject is just pointless too as its gonna end the same way as the other 10 or so threads that are on the exact same topic.

I totally agree with you about individualising your car, but going to that extreme is a bit much. And it would be a boring world if the cars looked the same. But thats why the different models of cars look different. If Ford wanted the cars to look like a GT, then they would have made all the cars the same shape.

I should say that although I'm not into "copies" I also respect the fact that anyone can do what they want with their car. Hell, if they didnt we would have no ricers to laugh at!

I dont see it as a pointless thread. Im just getting something off my chest that's annoyed me for sometime.
And i agree with you on the owners decision on what they want done to the car. But making it look like something it's not shouldn't happen. To me, its like they dont like the car and want it to be something its not.
