Does anyone know of anywhere that would like someone to work for 2 months only.
I am heading off to canberra for a 2 week holiday in 2 months and just lost my job.
Any work will do, I dont care what it is, I'll shovel s*#t if I have to.

Oh yeah, I'm in Melbourne. South Eastern suburbs

I used to work for a very small company (just me and the boss), and the business has basically gone under.

Thats not a bad idea.

Here's a simple list of things I have done.

Air conditioning mechanic's assistant - Carrier Air conditioining
Removalist/demolition - Private
Night Fill - Big W
Assembly line - Australian Computer Recyclers
Sound engineer - Friends band
Basic building - Burden Park Playground

Now there is quite a list of things I did at my latest job.

Despatch manager
Accounts receivable
Customer service
Technical support
Order taking
Invoicing

My current education is

yr12 finished
almost finished cert IV in computer systems
Have cert II in electronics


Basically I can do just about anything that is thrown at me.
And I can learn it quickly too.

Mate, i work backstage at concerts doing roadie stuff here in perth. If you go hunting around canberra around the concert halls n stuff, looking for the crew managers, ask them if you can get any work or something.. If you call up before hand and ask who the crew manager is (the dude who puts people on), you'll stand a better chance going in armed with a name..

Over here at the moment is the dead time of year, but in a month or two it'll liven up quite a bit, so if youre up to a bit of yakka then you can try that path!
