Catch these menaces on the road!!

I've had the worst thing happen to me on Pacific Highway on the way from Gold Coast to Brisbane.
I was on my way home after hanging out with a friend on Gold Coast and I was in the second lane. I came up behind a slower car so I was about to change the lane into right-hand lane, but I saw a car coming up so I waited till that car went past and then changed into right hand lane. Somehow, the bas*ard in front of me slowed down suddenly and kept on tapping the brake to annoy me. I'm guessing that he thought that I was highbeaming him or something, which I wasn't. So I was behind his ass for a while and then I changed to the second lane and accelerated back to 110km and then moved back into right hand lane in front of him. He started high beaming me and then accelerated to get right next to me in the second lane and then of the cowards in the car threw a half-full beer bottle at my car. It left a couple of dents in the left passenger window frame and next to the rear quarter window.

If any of you see a Dark blue/black Holden Astra hatchback with rego 28LEA (personalised plate), let me know. Bloody cowards too. There were like 4-5 people in that car and there were only 2 people in my car, yet they still ran like hell to get away. They even went into little streets and turned off all their lights to hide!
I'm so angry now and wish there was something I could do to those gutless assholes.

I went to the police but it would be highly unlikely they can do anything about it because there's no 'evidence'. How ridiculous.

Make a claim with your insurance company. You have his rego, you WILL be able to get it repaired.

Unfortunately I don't have comprehensive insurance on my car. Only third party insurance.

Re: Catch these menaces on the road!!

Sorry to read about that. Not in anyway defending this moron, but by the looks of it he has thought that maybe you were sitting up his a$$, hence the neanderthal behaviour. Be assured that nothing would've happened either if he was in the car alone. Probably drinking as well and assumed with 4 mates in the car he was 10ft tall and bullet proof. The other thing is if you have a car with fog lights that were on. Nothing can annoy some people more than to sit behind them or to approach them with 4 'headlights' on. Good luck finding the clown, you can bet he'll keep a low profile for a while now.

that would depend on how close he was tot he car when he pulled out into the lane....from what he said the guy just started breaking for no reason

i have had expereice with QLD drivers, i had some dood in a volvo have a go at me i moved from lane 1 to lane 2 and he was 20 meters behind in lane 3 and started flashing his lights having a go at me.. *shrug* some drivers are idiots

Re: Catch these menaces on the road!!

I don't know why he got pissed off either. I don't have a fog light on my car.
Well, why he got pissed off is quite irrelevant anyway. You can't go around throwing beer bottles while travelling at 110km/h just because you are not happy about some other car on the road.

Re: Catch these menaces on the road!!

Anyone on the forums work for the RTA or an insurance company, if so how about giving the address of the gutless bastard who did this to coladuna. Im sure a few of the QLD members would be more than happy to show this clown what 5-6 blokes with baseball bats can do to a Astra.

Re: Catch these menaces on the road!!

theres certain people in this town that do that too when your lapping. needless to say they are that known to the cops that the cops dont even bother with them anymore as they never get a sentence when they go to court....the usual slap on the wrist for them. but these are the kind of people that will oneday get the biggest beating of their lives or even will just end up disappearing alltogether. its good to live at the ocean!
