Catching yabbies in melbourne

Anybody know of any good spots in melbourne for catching yabbies?

I've been told Frankston's a good place to catch crabs.

Seriously with all the rain we had last week, any dam, storm drains and ponds are teaming with them at the moment. Nice big ones too.
Unfortunately one that my son caught a couple of months back and the new mate he got for him a couple of days ago didn't feel like sharing the same tank last night and thought they'd fight to the death. There were legs and claws everywhere, t'was not a pretty sight.

Yabbie hunting, that brings back memories. I have never done it here in Melbourne though, we always used to do it up in the country.

Stay away from Frankston dandenong and werribee, they have some dirty ass bitches there cause most likely you will catch something off them even yabbies, why do you want to catch yabbies for?? please wear a franger. two minutes of pleasure is not worth a lifetime of pain with yabbies.

on a lighter note I used to catch them in Keysborough at a reserve near Parkmore shopping centre.
