Changing badges - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

This is a practice that has amused, and confused me for many years. I just cant even begin to understand what must be going through peoples mind when they decide it would be a good idea to try and "trick" people into thinking their shitbox GL falcon is a Fairmont Ghia.
I've seen it all - 5 Litre V8 badges on the flanks of a completely standard, rough XF!
I've seen a lot of late model Falcons with tickford badges on them, I can almost handle that, often they have a lot of tickford options fitted or whatever, but IMO its still the best way to tell everyone your a ****ing tosser!
I took the two attached poor quality pics while driving with a mate and in a stupid mood, V6 XF? hmm....

What about going the other way ie 1600 badges on a MkI V8 Capri.

Love the look on peoples faces when they think theyve been

Alright what about GT replicas???

They have false badging all over them....

If the car has been modified to suit the badging E.G. has replacement engine, suspension etc. etc. I can't see the problem.

The two examples above do not fit into this category, therefor I have to agree with the above posts.
