In a few months i will be moving from QLD to SA
i am currently on my P's and i have been on them for 12months now, QLD Law states that we have to be on P Plates for 3 years or up til the age of 21, and well im only 18 lol, so i have two years left on my P's :(. SA have a different law where they are only on their P's until they are 19, im moving early-mid january and im 19 at the end of january so does this mean that i will be off my P's when i move and turn 19 and go onto SA Laws or will it still mean that i am still on my P's cause i got my licence in QLD??

I cant say for sure but i know that once you transfer your licence interstate the rules and laws that cover u and the licence change to suit the new state where you are registered.
So to answer your question YES you should get off ur Ps at 19 in SA. Lucky you!
Im going to get a SA licence now...

Kel, are you changing your licence to an SA licence?
If so you will only have to meet their time limits.
So aslong as you have held you licence for the time they specify you should be cool.
I live in NSW and flew to S.A so i could get my licence, got my L's and P's in one visit. Had my P's for 12 months and now have a full black licence 14 months later and 12 points, paid up the 10 yr licence to. I did it so i didnt have to spend 6months on L's and 3 yrs on P's, was a pain in the arse to get my new car rego'd in nsw but because i went for my L's in syd when i was 16 i had a customer number which is all i need to get it rego'd. But according to them if i live in another state with my licence in another state i cant get rego in nsw. But lifes a game and rules were made to be played/bent.

Id do it as soon as you get there that way you will be covered.
Ive done it quite a few times.
Covered for what, if you get pulled over they could never prove how long you've lived there for. Say your on holiday's or just working there for a few weeks.
