i have a 99 crown vic p71 that needs a motor.how hard would it be to put a 460 out of a 93 motorhome be ?

It can be done but with a lot of modifications. You're better off getting a used engine from a wrecking yard. What's wrong with yours? They usually are bullet proof as long as they've been serviced regularly.

Just build the 4.6 with cams, forged internals, dish pistons, Manley h-beam rods, bolt-ons and a healthy shot of nitrous and you'll be in the 12s no problem. It's a more user-friendly approach but if you're looking for 9s or 10s in the 1/4 mile, you'll most likely never achieve that with a 16-valve. What are you looking to accomplish?

it has a rod knocking .the junk yards want $650 - $ 1350 for a used interceptor motor, if i can one.i just want to get the car running again as cheaply as i can.plus it looks cool.
