Im looking at buying a 1998 falcon, does anyone know what these are valued at?
The car i might be getting has 200000ks and it costs $2500. Im thinking about buying it and driving it for a few months and then selling it for a profit.

try www.redbook.com.au. With those kms, it should be worth around the $5000 to $7000 mark if it's an EL, a bit more for an AU.

It is a EL. I think it is a fairmont but im not sure. Im going to look at it today.

hah! i went to a wholesaler today because they wanted to buy my car (EL XR6 manual etcetc) they offered me 9k lol

a $2500 El. i would be looking over that with DETAIL. something has to be wrong with it for that price. (unless your at the auction but its still pretty cheap). are you sure its not YELLOW and hasnt already gone once around the clock.
be weary of this car at this price. check for a respray or crash damage and make sure its not stolen or has any money owing on it and all the other things.
let us know how it goes.
take a Mechanic with you or get a RAC(?) guy to go look at it for you.

The person im buying the car off lives across the road from me so i dont think they would sell me a lemon.
The persons selling it because she is getting a VY commodore on friday, so they want to get rid of it quick.

Its probably ****ed, and i dont think you'd be selling it at a profit.

If you want a cheap car try www.broadfordcarsales.com.au but rememember no RWC or warranty... you're on your own if any problems.

In nsw you dont need a RWC to sell a car. the car had a rego inspection recently and passed with no problems.
I have known the owner of the car for about 2 years and i know she has it serviced every 10000 kilometres. She first offered it to me for $3000 and then i told her i didnt have that much so she dropped it to $2500.
