there was an EF/L around the hoppers area a while ago (it was for sale so it might be miles away now) and it was the same idea. 4 door with the ute rear....except it was done really well and looked good.

it was painted in the VT bronze/gold color, but was done before the VT came out....

I'll give hime credit for actually making it and it looks better than I imagined it would considering it still has the high wagon roof and such a low tray height.

They way I'd do it (and I've thought about this a lot) would be to fit a sedan turret and rear doors and lift the top of the tray area to align with the kink in the back door for a more muscular look. Fitting flat glass (top-hinged?) in place of the sedan rear window would still give enough head room in the back and stop it from encroaching into the tray area. This would require some skillful fabrication of C-sail panels blended into the higher tray.

The same idea might work with an AU sedan turret / wagon lower with some really curvy sheetmetal (Hilliers!) for a really individual sports-ute.

If Ford won't build an R5 we'll have to do it ourselves.
