I've been savin up some money and originally i had intended spending it on the whole exhaust/extractors deal, but now i can't decide what to spend it on. ive decided either:
a) exhaust + extractors (probably lukey, but im not an expert on exhaust systems and instead of creating yet another exhaust thread, i'm asking for some recommendations in here) price = suggestions? pros:performance, improved economy, sounds good
b) lowering (superlows, guards will need to be rolled, i would take a pic but it seems as if my camera has gone 'walkabouts') price = suggestions? pros:handling, looks better (my rear suspension is tow-pack stylez)
c) audio stuff - pioneer tuner (http://www.pioneeraus.com.au/car_ent...650/index.html) which is normally $309 but atm is on sale at autobarn for $188 atm, but they havent got many left, and a clarion amp (APA250) + clarion 30cm 600w sub (PA12-S) package for $349. Also, I'm a lazy stooge so i was gonna pay for installation. price = $752. pros:more enjoyable driving experience for me
I'm also planning on getting the air-con fixed and windows tinted in the next two weeks as the weather atm is bad enough (imagine aircon that only blows outside-temperature air and no tinting) so i intend on living past this summer and not evaporating on my way to work. I have to come to a decision by the end of this week I would think, so everyone's input is welcome.
Thanks a lot
a) probably the best bang for buck mod.. get the JMM if you want the extra few kw's for your $$.. headers + 2.5 inch pipe + muffler fitted $1000
B) lowering is good, check your driveway and frequent haunts for clearance before you drop it on its guts.. super-lows, short travel shocks, camber castor kit and guards rolled would be close to $1000.. Makes the car have more of a presence and she'll handle better at higher speed but be very rigid at cruise speeds
c) not my bag sorry, waste of money imo.. Sound is sound too me
Get it lowered! I just checked out your car. I thought my car looked funny with 17's and stock ride height, but at least I have the gas tank weighing it down a bit. It will look way better lowered a bit.

DEFINATELY lower it first (don't do what i did lol). After that, it's upto you whether you'd rather look into performance or sound. Garanteed most people on here will say performance, but i'll say audio just to be a bit different
Yep, i'm gunna go with Lowering too
If it were me, i'd get a mixture of Lowering (Springs, camber kit, rolled guards)
and a CD Headunit or the likes.
Ofcourse this would only be the case if you're doing the work urself.
If you're paying someone to do the lowering, then get it done completely the first time :)

hmm, i might go and park the car with the rear axle on the road and the front on the driveway to get an idea of clearance, then subtract, what is it, 60mm for superlows?, as our driveway is downard sloped, so the gutter is kind of at the peak, but ill be able to get around that problem by reversing up, turning onto the grass, then going down the gutter at a very small angle. in theory, anyway, lol. if thats all good lowering shall be carried out within the next fortnight, along with aircon fix and tinting, and ill do some work for dad and get a few hundred that can go towards the exhaust fund, plus i still havent got my tax back yet so thats a few more hundred on top of that, should get new exhaust and that inside of a month or two maybe. and then theres audio and some stage down the track. thanks for the input, guys, its much appreciated
i reckon its gonna look pretty sweet lowered with dark tint, and soon enough it shall sound and go pretty sweet too
