After last night and some people suggesting I'm not a fan of Herrods anymore, I thought I'd clarify things.
They are a GREAT bunch of guys and do some very good work. The issue I have is I seem to be the unlucky one where everything goes wrong (nothing new). They have done many other cars since mine and none have had problems. So, I'm the one in 10,000 AGAIN!
Anyhow, having said that, my gripe is how long it takes to get my car. A lack of planning on their part has lengthened the time unnecessarily (like spending a week deciding to machine the block - they had it for six weeks before that!).
I still have to say I recommend Herrods to anyone. They are great guys, have good product, and look after you when things go wrong. I have dealt with many workshops before and whilst I'm not happy catching trains etc, they have looked after me way beyond where anyone else has. All they need is more staff to keep up with the work.

Cool. i like to hear that they are taking care of you. yes i can understand your plight in how long it is taking, but they are taking care of you and that is a good thing.

Let me confirm that this is the case, and i constantly refer people to Rob knowing that these guys will SERVICE their clients!
As you know, I wouldnt trust anyone else with my car!

Pete,
I definitly feel for you, the way your car has been in the workshop for that long, hell i get frustrated when my baby is in the workshop for 1/2 day out of my eyes.
Judging from other cars that have been Herrod modified (Laminge, Venom XR in particular) i can safely bet that your car will be all sorted good and proper.
I also have decided that should my car require any internal engine modifications/rebuild i will get it done by Herrods.

I'm sorry to admit, but i'm not a fan anymore. After my exhaust and getting bad advise, i wont be going back to him. I will say though that he has a good workshop with good eqiupment and they do churn out good work if you got a big wad of cash...
Venom XR: just checked out your website and I must say it is very impressive, well done! The web page presentation is as professional as the Ford site IMO!
Apologies to AP for being off the topic, but I think you know I emphathise with your predicament.

I think your exhaust thing was an incomplete summation by them. If you had insisted on using their exhaust instead of the stuff someone else ditched it may have worked better for you.
Just remember, 4-1 extractors are an emissions thing on Tickford and HSV cars.

has rob ever thought of opening a small workshop in sydney? i mean, it would be good to have someone to even do scheduled services on fords. plus, i know who i'd be going to if i required any mods done!
