went for a ride in a 2004 VY?? SS 6sp today, the owner attempted to impress me with the power of the rattly GEN3 by doing a burnout, but unfortunately for him the only smoke came from the clutch. We then had a slow smelly trip back home.

I tried in my 06 mustang a couple days ago, it suprised me as it actually hooked up pretty decent when sidestepping the clutch at 4k- oh yeah, it spun pretty good, but it was outta there in a hurry...I really thought it would just go up in smoke, but nope.
No brake torking here- I'm not babying the car, but not exactly wanting to destroy it either...only embarassing thing about the mustang gt is if you forget to turn off t/c and stomp on it- it falls on its face pretty hard :)

I did the same in my GT when I forgot to turn off the TC. The SS dunnydores can pull off a mean skid though. I tried and succeeded when I took a demonstrator home for the night. Apart from the skids it was a bucket of poo when compared to the XR6T
