Today I got a company to change their orders from VY to BA!

I forced them out to test drive a BA earlier today and they are absolutely stoked about the car.

Getting them to convert their fleet has been a really tough job (they've had a Holden fleet since 1988) but it all paid off today when I saw their faces after the test drive!

Their only problem was that they wanted four of the fleet cars to be XR8's (the boss loved the V-8 sound on the ute ad), but due to the late release it looks like they are going to settle for the XR6 Turbo's instead :)

How many cars are in their fleet? Good news for Ford hahaha! Nice one RPO83. What's wrong with ordering a XR8 now... because by the time you get the XR6-T the 8 will be out anyway... Surely you could order an XR8 now.

I've done my bit. I got to choose the dept ute and pool car.
Gone is the Hilux and Commodore.

In is a Falcon Ute and Forte (both AU3).
The lease expiry dates were too early for BA's this time round.

I convinced my father in law to be to buy a Barra. He should pick it up mid November. I'm now working on my brother-in-law to get an XR6.

If everybody can convert atleast one person from their close nit group (I've done my job, 7 people now prefer the Ford over the Holden

where as before it was me on 8, one still likes the VY, but I think he's alittle retarted). This is all very good news for Ford. I can see the AU sales over three years being beat in 6 months

Managed to convince a chic I know to buy a Falcon Ute, it was only a used AU but thats the best I could do!

I guess the hardest part of converting people from holden/toyota/mitsibishi etc across to ford is getting them to drive one. If they have owned previous models they will tend to mostly stick to that brand, without driving others. But ford oz and everyone here has enough confidance in the BA range that it is the better car, and that they will be very happy with the look, feel and driveability of it.

Convincing holden punters that the new ford is the better locally built car is an extremely hard task but i'm sure they would be rather quiet after driving one!
