Despite all the investment in securing Iraq for it's oil, I still don't understand why the price has gone up so significantly. Are we somehow inadvertantly paying for the war with the increase in fuel prices?

I might have to trade the V8 in for one of those battery powered cars if that is the case. On second thoughts.....nah.

Iraqs oil production has only recently climbed back to pre-war levels.

And if the news is anything to go by there are plenty of sabotage attempts to slow the process down.
