i love the one about eating and drinking while holding on! hahahaha you kinda need that. once, i spent 40 mins on hold waiting for telst**** to answer me!

Hehehe..

one of my fave things from my customer service days was customers complaining about being on hold for so long..

Me - Good Afternoon, [insert company name] Technical support, how can I help you?

Cust - (insert whinging voice here) I have been on hold for 20 mins... this isnt good enough, do you call this customer service...... (blah blah blah)

Me - I am sorry for the delay, we are extremely busy at the moment, what can I help you with today?

Cust - I want to pay my bill

Me - You've actually come through to technical support, I can put you through to customer service, and they can assist you with that.

Cust - You mean I have to wait on hold again ???!!

Me - I am afraid so. For future reference, if you want to get them, you can press option 1 for customer service at the menu.

Cust - I pressed 2, cos I thought I would get through quicker!

I had someone complaining because we had sent a reminder notice to them. They told me I should treat them with more respect because they pay my wages. They didn't see the funny side of it when I reminded them that was the problem because they hadn't paid us at all.

After working in a call centre for 4 years, and then managing 3 teams of 20 staff, I cannot start to explain some of the customers I have delt with!!!

The fun I have had abusing these customers and then giving them my name as abdul yammmishmanopoloulous, they always rang back and complained to the centre manager who had great joy in telling them that no one by that name worked there!!
