biggrin Damn good news for us metal heads

Quote:
AUSTRALIA 2004:
An industry insider in the Perth music scene has spoken to the tour promoter of Australia's Big Day Out Festival. it is confirmed that Metallica have signed the deal to be tour headliners for the final Big Day Out festival tour in Australia for January 2004. Dates and venues will be posted here as soon as I know anything

I hope to god this is true! Only downside is we'll have all these dickheads who have heard St. Anger thinking Metallica is the greatest band around without even listened to the likes of Kill em all, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. Still, it'll be great!

Re: Damn good news for us metal heads

lol of course you have my permission

One of my mate's told me, he sent me what I quoted. I'll ask him where exactly he found out when I talk to him next.

I'm just hoping for Tool and Pantera to come back again. That'd make my year.

Saw Frankenbok, Superheist, Earth and some other locals last night, damn that was a great gig!

Re: Damn good news for us metal heads

Besides Lars needing a new set of skins, I love it.

Though a Kirk solo or two couldn't go amiss.

Re: Damn good news for us metal heads

Of course, you could always visit the Metallica website - www.metallica.com - which would give you these tour dates:

January 16 Auckland, New Zealand
January 18 Gold Coast, Australia
January 23 Sydney, Australia
January 26 Melbourne, Australia
January 30 Adelaide, Australia
February 1 Perth, Australia

That is exciting news indeed.
But if you want to go see them without the hassle of a thousand 12 yr olds just go see them play somewhere else.
They wont just play at the BDO.
As for me ill probally go see them at the BDO and wherever else they play :p
