Dealer Drive Days

Well all of the salesmen from our dealership have done the drive days for the new BARRA ...And they are all raving about the cars.

They got to drive - XR6 Sedans and Utes, XT I6, XTV8, FAIRMONT GHIA.

(Also got to drive the Focus / new Courier)

Apparently the whole range is much quieter - and handles like a dream.

Dont expect the weight to be an issue, these new Falcon's performance is something else!!

The XR6 Turbo is definately going to be a popular car - once people get to drive it ... and the biggest surprise to most of them was how good the XT was. It a very refined car inside and out.

The only dissapointing thing for the Salesmen was the ads for the Falcon - which didnt inspire many of them. (Although the ute ads are apparently very clever)

Anyhoot - looks like Ford have given the Dealerships the right ammo, now the Salesmen just have to know how to pull the trigger!!

Yep, my local dealer loves 'em - has in fact already sold several and the first delivery isn't due till next week.

He is positive the XT will not only take sales from exec but also berlina, S8, and he doesn't think Holden will be able to give away the supercharged engines once a potential customer has driven the XT - he admits the only problem now is getting the message out to Joe Average and getiing him in the driver's seat - once that is achieved he doesn't see anyone going back to another yard whether it be Holden, Toyota or Mitsubishi. He can't stop raving about how Ford have them all "covered" with the technology in the XT.

Now this is positive. I haven't heard the salesman and all that rave about there cars for a long time, and if they are raving about it, it means that these cars will do the business. How funny would it be if the XT took away sales from berlina and SV8. This would be a serious boost for ford. I can't wait to get the sales and marketing certificate to start working with ford:)
