can you help me, i have a Ford Falcon AU wagon 2001 model. I want to know if you can put the older rear tailgate (EL i think) onto my car without major work??? I think it looks better than my car, but i don't want to buy the older car though.

I have been a great Ford Falcon fan ever since 1982 when I bought
my first Ford Falcon. Fantastic car.
But I have a problem with my 1987 XF Falcon S that I have owned since brand new. Last week the handle on my door broke, I am dissapointed that this happened and since I never claimed anything on warranty I think ford should pay for this. I have to get into my car from the other side which is hard as I am a large person. Thankyou.

I hope you can help me ,,,I have noticed that in 2001 Tickford celibrated it,s 10'th annerversary here in Australia .......They mention the XR6 and the XR8 but I own a DA Tickford LTD built in November 1989 .......
It Has the tickford badges one on each side on the front guards and I tickford badge on the left hand side of the boot lid just infront of the LTD sign ......
___ The engine is Tickford ,,it's a six (3.9) ltr I think ,,I don't know because on the registration papers it say's 4LTR...... It has the tickford sign on the left hand side if the rocker cover at the front ,,,next to the ford sign and the rocker cover is red...It also has A T on the front of the cylinda head and it still has a blue and white sticker on the right hand side of the motor that has a bar code at the top and then some numbers and then it has TCK in brackets so that tells me it must be a tickford LTD ...its vin number is (EDITED)........
___ My brother inlaw has the 91 model LTD and there are a couple of differeces between the two like mine has parkers in my clear fronted blinkers on the front as well as the standard ones in the headlight assemblies.......It probably has more things different on it but Ive only owned it for a week so I havn't really gone right over it yet.....
___ I dont seem to be able to get any information on it from anyone but as you can see ,,it's genuine and with only approx 1800 LTD'S being manufactured in 1989 it must be one of only a few in the country .........
