The Demise of the Ford Polo
Hello again comrades! Thank you for listening to the rantings of a fellow Ford fanatic. I know I like a chat, or two though when you get to my age no doubt you will too!
Have you ever wondered that the world is changing? That the conservative minority seem to have more sway? Has the common man (sorry person) lost their vigour? Have we no clout? Have they got bigger?
But trivia aside and to the topic of point of much more importance is the dress sense of choice. Can we no longer enter an eatery without wearing 'correct' attire?
No more can I go were I see fit clothed only in a Ford polo and some jeans of course! Why is this so, I hear you ask? And rightly so! I do not feel compelled to wear suites or new age clothes, but to live a decent life am I forced to adhere to the flock?
Around my fellow Ford brethren no slights are dispensed yet around the tin top drivers of more common metal do I feel apprehensive. I feel an outcast!
I wear my Ford polo with pride; I am not ashamed to have long hair! An earring, de rigour and I enjoy a smoke and a beer (or 5), so why do they scoff!
I will no longer frequent their places of worship, cafes no more. Fine wine and fine fare I do not think, the golden arches are my subsequent home! So when I wash and I press and I dress to impress why do they scoff?
