roll Detroit Motor Show 2003: Those crazy Americans!

Here are some gems from the Detroit Motor Show.

How about an 8.3 litre V10 from a Dodge Viper in a "motorcycle" frame? (it has four wheels though)
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.j...toryID=1998808

Or how about a U$250,000 Cadillac with a V16 engine and 1,000hp?
http://www.msnbc.com/news/854650.asp?0cv=KB10&cp1=1

Thoughts?

Lutz is nutz!

Quote:
On the early December night that Lutz arrives to drive the test mule at GMs Tech Center, the roads are blanketed with snow. Bad news for Lutz, who wanted to burn rubber. But hes undeterred. Wielding a big cigar, he punches the gas. The Yukon fishtails. His interviewer goads him on: Ill bet you could do great doughnuts with this engine. Grinning, Lutz says, We probably could, and throws it into a 360-degree spin. We barely miss two trucks. Ah, he says, the mighty 16.
What a maniac. Doing fishtails and 360s in a 1000hp car in the snow...
