Since there has been a lot of discussions regarding the performance dealers, I have just heard from a friend that some Holden dealers are selling cars by putting customers off from buying Falcon's by telling them about the problems with the Falcon.
He reackons that somebody has received fault problems from within Ford and are using this information as amunition to sell more Commodores. I just that you guys might be interested and maybe somebody could verify this.
I wouldn't get too concerned... if people can't see through that sort of sales tactic then they deserve to buy what isn't right for them.
If I asked a specific question and was given a specific answer to a comparison between the two and the Ford lost out .. as long as there was justification I couldn't argue ... if they just wanted to bag the opposition then I am out the door

Can someone please pass on this information to me if they have it. Only for statistical purposes, I promise I would never use it to assist in increasing my commision cheque.
If a sales person puts the opposition product down, its obvious that he hasn't got much to tell you about his own. Let your product speak for itself whether you are a Ford or a Holden sales person.

Most people have a fair idea about what they are going to buy before they walk into a dealer.
If they happen to be in a Holden dealership they are there to look at Holdens so can be easily swayed into buying one. Ford do the same and are probably picking up Holden owners that walk into a Ford dealership.
I've gone into Ford dealers and have been told not to bother buying the new Ford I was looking at because it wasn't a good model.
It works both ways, who cares?
